Tentacles, Bunnies and Science set to Erupt on Calgary Streets

Jann Arden and Jon Montgomery will host 2016 Juno Awards in Calgary

Why Studio Bell, Home of the National Music Centre will be a Hub for Music in Canada

Calgary, Jan, 2016 – Canada’s newest national cultural institution is getting ready to open its doors in Calgary’s East Village in the summer of 2016.

Designed by Brad Cloepfil from Allied Works Architecture, Studio Bell, home of the National Music Centre (NMC), will span 160,000 square-feet with five floors of exhibition space. Merging technology and storytelling, music will pour through 22 individual exhibition spaces, encouraging people to explore and engage in an ever-evolving discussion around music in Canada.

2016 CALGARY’S YEAR OF MUSIC

Calgary, Jan 15, 2016 – On Jan. 8, Mayor Naheed Nenshi announced officially that 2016 is the Year of Music in Calgary and encouraged community members and visitors to support “push play”. The city is ready to celebrate with a long list of major anniversaries, the opening of new music-related facilities including the National Music Centre, and the 45th annual JUNO Awards.
