If you’re embracing the winter cold, join the winter joggers and bikers along the Bow River.

ADRENALINE COMBO AT WINSPORT COP

Zip from Calgary’s highest point and tuck in a bobsleigh to thunder down the slope. It’s the Adrenaline Combo at Winsport’s Canada Olympic Park a double thrill of a lifetime. Tucked into the sled begin your hair-raising ride. The track starts to blur as your sled corners to the left and right. Suddenly the famous Kreisel turn has you experience up to 5G Forces. Catch your breath! You just rocketed down an Olympic track!

With harness and parachute in hand, return to the top to experience another adrenaline rush. But first – take in the panoramic view while perched at top of the 90 metre ski jump high above the skyline of Calgary. Clip onto the cable and fly! The cable zings and you scream! A toss of the parachute slows you before the sudden stop at the bottom. It’s the fastest you’ll go without wings!

SKYLINE LUGE

The Luge is a unique wheeled gravity ride that provides riders full control ove their descent on a purpose built track.  Experience 1.8 kilometres (5905 feet) of twists and turns dropping over 100 metres (328 feet) in its course. The Calgary Luge is the world’s longest Luge track, so you cannot miss out during your stay in Canada.

SAIL, CANOE OR KAYAK CALGARY’S RESERVOIR

On a hot day, head down to the Glenmore Reservoir, Calgary’s water sport and activity park destination located in the southwest. The lake reservoir is a popular recreation destination for water sports, especially wind sports. Some of the more popular water activities include sailing, wind surfing, canoeing, kayaking and boating. On the north and south shores of the Glenmore Reservoir there are day use parks.

SADDLE UP AND SEE THE COUNTRYSIDE FROM A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE – ON HORSEBACK

FLY FISHING ON THE BOW RIVER
