NATIONAL BEER HALL ON 10th

At National on 10th, they’ve maintained the charm of our 17th Avenue location, while creating the best place to eat, drink, and play in the city’s core. Settle old scores on the ping pong and football tables, or head downstairs to bowl a few frames at our 8-lane bowling alley. And of course, there’s National’s coveted food menu to explore at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Plus, an oyster bar, wine, cocktails, and a generous helping of craft beers from small brewers.

BROKEN CITY

On the old Electric Avenue, the rhythm and soul of rock and roll beats on at Broken City. Since opening in 2004, creative Calgarians have found a new home at Broken City, which has dedicated itself to hosting and supporting our diverse, independent arts and entertainment culture. For just under a decade now, we have been Calgary’s foremost home for music and art, a hub for like-minded friends, new and old, to come together underneath one roof to share ideas and moments, develop their visions and help Calgary realize its potential as a vibrant cultural destination. Broken City stands at the centre of it all, a cold tall can of beer always in hand, ready for the next great adventure.

EAU CLAIRE DISTILLERY

Take a trip south to the beautiful Cowboy Trail and visit Eau Claire Distillery, Alberta’s first independent craft distillery. Located 40 minutes outside of Calgary and nestled along the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, Eau Claire gives visitors a taste of exceptional, locally-made, handcrafted farm-to-glass spirits.

While visiting, guests can take a tour of the distillery, a restored 1929 movie theatre. From there, you can learn how the first spirits are produced by horse farmed grains – the only distillery using its own horse farming operation in North America, and taste the unique flavours of Parlour Gin, Three Point Vodka and seasonal specials.

Tours and tastings available May 1-September 30, from 10am – 4:30pm, or by appointment. Closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

CRAFT BEER MARKET

CRAFT Beer Market is a premium casual restaurant located in Calgary’s Beltline district. With 120 taps, CRAFT is proud to offer Canada’s largest selection of draft beer along with an extensive list of wine, cocktails and spirits.

The welcoming atmosphere is created by friendly staff, vintage architectural design, great music and flat screen TV’s. CRAFT Beer Market is the perfect place for brunch, lunch, dinner, to celebrate a special occasion or gather your friends to watch the game.

The open architecture and casual, vintage feel of CRAFT was created using reclaimed wood from the original space and pays homage to the building’s history as one of Calgary’s most successful prime rib houses.

They make uncompromising, unique ales in small batches.

VILLAGE BREWERY

After much work and lots of fun we finally have another quality brewery here in our city. The folks at Village wanted to build something meaningful and relevant and will be looking to Calgarians quite often to help them create something inspired, creative, fun and tasty. After all, it takes a village to raise a brewery doesn’t it!
